My personality

My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Meet Sunny — the Dog With a Second Chance (and the Heart to Prove It)

Sunny’s a gorgeous Shepherd(?) Mix, approx 1 1/2 years old, who is being wonderfully cared for by a foster near Brookfield MA.

Her name used to be Sonrisa, which means “smile”. This is one resilient girl!! She is happy playful, great energy, loves people and other dogs.

She comes from a high kill shelter in Los Angeles, where the volunteers fell in love with her - and contact us to find her a home :) There are just too many dogs in CA, so we sent her out of state to look for her forever family.

This girl is great with one other dog, or to be the only dog! She is learning manners and commands.. and would love to keep working on these with a new forever family.

Sunny isn’t just a survivor — she’s a heart healer. A family dog. A loyal companion.

At PetAidUSA, our mission is to save and protect vulnerable animals across the United States by putting animals first—always. We are dedicated to rescuing pets from high-kill shelters, transporting them to safe havens, and providing no-cost veterinary care, spay and neuter services, and nationwide transport to rescuers, fosters, and adopters.

We support rescue partners by meeting critical financial needs, supplying food and medical care to qualifying adopters, and building a nationwide network of committed, compensated fosters. With full transparency and rigorous vetting at every level, we ensure the safety and well-being of each animal in our care.
