Hello! I’m FLOWER, named for my bright, happy spirit and my colorful, paw-sitive personality. 🙂 I'm a 2-year-old American Bulldog mix weighing in at about 63 lbs.—just the right size for comfy couch cuddles and fun-filled adventures! ❤️
My volunteer fans think I’m the sassiest cutie patootie they’ve ever met! 😎 If you’re looking for a goofball who’ll dish out daily doses of love, pro-level snuggles, and world-class butt wiggles that will make you smile - look no further. I’M YOUR BABY! 🥰
When we first meet, don’t be surprised if I zoom right past you and make a dash for the toy pile. Nope, it’s not you, it’s me – and my silly obsession with toys! 🥎🧸😍
I’m so crazy in love with them that on the way back to my kennel, I’ll try to get my volunteer buddies to make a quick detour to the office—just to plop myself right into the toy basket like I belong there. 😂 Well, maybe I’m secretly hoping that someone will take ME home to play with? 😉
But don’t you worry—just toss a toy or two, and you’ll quickly see my playful and hooman-loving side shine through! Once I get to know you, I’ll bloom into a total love bug who’ll happily run to you for snuggles and roll right over for belly rubs! 😘
And here’s a pro tip - if you really want to win me over - give me a good back scratch. Works every time! But hey…fair warning…once we do become besties, spontaneous kisses and love declarations may occur at any moment! 😂
I’ve already mastered “Sit” like a pro and am now learning “Down.” I’m still brushing up on my leash skills and may get excited and pull during sniffaris, but a gentle “Come Back” seems to get my attention back on you and our walkies. I’m both treat- and toy-motivated—so training sessions with me are bound to be fun for us when I get home! And oh, I take treats very gently from your hands.
I enjoy running along the fence with friendly, playful doggos who match my energy and love for fun! That said, I can be a little picky when it comes to them—most doggos I click instantly with, while a few others just aren’t my vibe. If you have a doggo at home, please do bring them along for an on-leash, supervised meet-and-greet. 🐶🐶
I picture myself with a fun-loving human or family who enjoys playtime and making memories together. After some zoomies and a few rounds of fetch, I'd love to curl up next to you—whether you're on a Zoom call or just Netflixing and chilling.🐾
Don’t be shy—let’s hang out together! Give me a chance to grow on you, and maybe… just maybe… MY LOVE is what you need to blossom too!
⚡️⚡️Newsflash ⚡️⚡️
Hello, future family! 😍
I have some tail-wagging and butt-wiggling news! Because I enjoy toys and tasty treats sooooo much, my volunteer buddies have put together a special adoption goodie bag for us! 🎁 We get to go home with lots of tasty doggo treats and toys! 🧸🍪
(Pssssst…just between you and me, the real prize is yours truly!) 😉
So… what are you waiting for? Let’s spend some time in the yard and fall head over paws for each other!🐾💕

THIS IS A COURTESY POSTING If you are interested, please call the East County Animal Shelter at 925-803-7040 to see if this dog is still available.
Please browse our adoptable animals. We make every effort to keep our listings updated.
Each of our animals has contact information in the description - either referencing the phone number of the foster volunteer who is fostering the animal or East County Animal Shelter contact information if a shelter animal.
If you have questions, please use the contact information in the description directly. We attempt to forward emails sent to contact@tvar.org to the foster though it is not necessarily before the animal is adopted. Also, volunteers who monitor this email do not know the animals whereas the fosters do!
If a dog or puppy is in foster with TVAR, please fill out an adoption application (available here: https://www.shelterluv.com/matchme/adopt/TVAR/Dog). We consider each application and pick the best one for the animal in question. In general, we do not do out of area adoptions. Kittens do not need applications completed - just contact the foster!
If an animal is at ECAS, they have their own adoption process. Please go to ECAS (they are open daily 11:30am to 5:30pm except holidays) to meet the animal and learn about ECAS's adoption process.
All TVAR animals are spayed/neutered, up-to-date on vaccines, treated for worms and fleas, and microchipped. Felines are FIV/FeLV tested. Many of our pets also come with a "packed bag" that can include a variety of goodies like bedding, food, toys, leashes, and even private training sessions with our professional trainers. Adoption fees vary by species. Our fee range is $120-$350. The foster volunteer can provide specifics for the animals in their care.

More about this rescue
Tri-Valley Animal Rescue (TVAR) was founded in 1992 and is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization serving the East Bay (San Francisco Bay Area). We primarily place shelter animals in foster care of TVAR volunteers while trying to find them permanent homes. Although we do not have a facility of our own, we help over 1000 animals find forever homes yearly through the hard work and dedication of our East County Animal Shelter shelter volunteers who socialize shelter animals daily and assist the public in selecting a pet to adopt.
We have a variety of volunteer programs including a shelter program and four foster programs. We are always looking for more volunteers - especially fosters. If you are interested in volunteering with us, please check out our volunteer page (https://www.tvar.org/volunteer/) for information.
