🖤 Meet Cassidy — A Loyal Heart Ready to Love Again 🖤
Cassidy came back to us on November 1st, 2024, after the sudden passing of her beloved owner. She's approximately 9½ years old, a beautiful Black Lab mix, weighing 78 lbs, spayed, and fully up-to-date on all vaccinations.
Despite her age, Cassidy is full of life and love. She’s playful and gentle with her toys, enjoys a good game of tug-o-war, and thrives on puzzle games that challenge her smart mind. Cassidy also has a softer side — she absolutely adores blankets and cuddle time.
Cassidy is:
✔️ House trained
✔️ Walks calmly on leash
✔️ Non-reactive to other dogs and people on walks
✔️ Quiet and observant indoors — she rarely barks, even at dogs barking outside
While Cassidy coexists peacefully with other dogs in public, she truly thrives in a home where she is the only dog. She enjoys attention and affection so much, she prefers not to share her humans. She may play with other dogs under supervision, but likely never learned appropriate dog-to-dog play etiquette.
Cassidy is a loving, affectionate companion who will gently nudge your hand for more pets and belly rubs. She's eager to share her golden years with someone who will appreciate her sweet soul and give her the loving home she so deserves.
💛 Cassidy would be a perfect companion for a single-person household or a couple looking for a calm, affectionate dog to share their life with.
Can you give Cassidy the peaceful, loving forever home she’s been waiting for?
Apply today and come meet this precious girl — she’s ready to bring joy to your heart.

More about this rescue
GreenePets Foster Network, Inc. has been in continuous operation since 2004, serving dogs and puppies throughout the Upper East Tennessee region.
In 2007, GreenePets entered into a formal partnership with CrittersWork Service Dog Partners, Inc. Through this collaboration, we foster Service Dogs in Training alongside our own adoptable rescue dogs.
Our long-standing partnership with All Creatures Country Club Kennels and Training Center allows GreenePets to function as a full-service rescue organization. Despite this support, foster homes remain our greatest and most urgent need. We can never secure enough qualified foster placements to meet the demand for dogs entering rescue.
Volunteers are essential to our mission, and we are always grateful to hear from individuals willing to help in any capacity.
GreenePets is a no-kill organization. This means that when a dog is accepted into our care, that dog remains with us until a suitable forever home is found. In some cases, a permanent adoptive home may never be secured. In those situations, we remain committed to the dog for the duration of their life.
In addition to traditional rescue placements, GreenePets also assists pet owners who must rehome their animals but are able to continue fostering them while we help identify an appropriate new home. As a result, some pets listed through GreenePets may not be physically located in East Tennessee; this information is disclosed whenever applicable in individual listings.
