My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Peaches is a beautiful buff or dilute orange tabby adult cat.
When Peaches was pulled from the shelter, she was completely shut down. She would do her best to escape any touch and would brace in fear if she had to be touched. She will hide in her litter box if she is stressed or overwhelmed.
Peaches has slowly started to trust people. She will still try to evade touch at times, but she is willing to stay longer before leaving. She loves "squeeze up" snack treats and skritches under her chin and jaws.
Peaches needs someone that will not push their expectations on her....Someone that is okay to let her continue to come out of her shell on her own timeline. Will you be the hero of her story??

More about this rescue

The HSVLC is a non-profit organization that only rescues animals based on available foster homes and funding. All of our dogs and some of our cats live in foster homes. Loving families have taken them in and are caring for them until they find their furrever home. We also house many of our cats at our office location. We have four cage free rooms dedicated to housing our resident cats. You can stop by our office during business hours to visit our residents or contact us in advance to schedule a visit with one of our fosters.
