Their adoption process

We want to make adopting a pet as easy as possible. Our process helps adopters find the right pet for their home and the right home for our pets.

Please note: There may be several people interested in the same pet you are. It can be very disappointing to find out a pet has been adopted before you had an opportunity to complete the adoption process. If you have your heart set on a particular pet, please contact us to see if there are pending applications on that pet already.

Adoption steps

  1. Submit Application
    1. We like to call it a questionnaire. We want to find out a little more about you and your household so we can guide you to a smooth adoption
  2. Approve Application
    1. Once we have looked over your questionnaire, we will notify you of the next steps. This typically happens within 1 business day.
  3. Meet the Pet
    1. You must meet the pet in person before we approve an adoption. We want you to be able to see the pet's behavior and ask questions.
  4. Sign Adoption Contract
    1. Once you have met and fallen in love with your pet, simply sign the adoption agreement, pay the adoption fee, and the new pet is yours!
  5. Take the Pet Home
    1. The pet becomes yours once the agreement is signed and the fee is paid.

If you see a pet you like, please message us to confirm availability. If it's available, you can make an appointment to meet the pet at our Hiram location near the Walmart. We are located inside Friends For Fido - Doggy Daycare.
