Life in the kennel stresses her out, but give her just a few minutes and you’ll see her melt into a friendly, affectionate girl who loves belly rubs and being close to her people. This playful pup has plenty of energy and would thrive with daily walks, time to run, and opportunities to show off her smarts. She already knows “sit” and “down,” takes treats gently, and has experience being crate trained. Her former family shared that she was friendly with adults and kids, didn’t try to escape, and had some training under her belt. All shelter locations are conducting animal viewing and adoptions on a first come, first serve basis. We are not able to move a pet from one location to another for your viewing.
The adoption fee is waived for all available pets in care and in foster homes. Standard adoption practices will still be in place, including background checks.

The City of Albuquerque Animal Welfare Department (AWD) expanded the shelter days of service to seven days a week with operational hours of 9:30 a.m. to 6 p.m. and pet viewing from 10:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m for both the east and west side shelter locations.
