My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Rosie May is an 8-year-old, 30-pound Welsh Terrier with a heart as big as her beautiful voice. When she first came to CAMO Rescue as a shelter transfer, she was shut down and unsure of the world. But with love, patience, and time, Rosie May has found her voice—literally! She’s now a sweet, gentle girl who isn’t shy about expressing her feelings.

Don’t let her calm demeanor fool you—Rosie May gets the zoomies and loves a good run in the yard. Once she’s had her fun, she’s more than happy to lay her head on you for pets and snuggles. She’s also quite the songbird, happily “singing” to let you know exactly what’s on her mind.

Rosie May is fully potty trained, crate trained, walks wonderfully on a leash, and is treat-motivated, meaning she’s more than capable of learning new tricks and commands. She would thrive best as the only dog in the home, soaking up all the love and attention for herself.

Rosie May is heartworm positive but has already received her ProHeart-12 injection and is currently undergoing treatment. She'll need a recheck in eight months to ensure she's on the path to full recovery.

Adoption fee is: $300

More about this rescue

CAMO Rescue is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization that offers life, health, and a forever home. We specialize in dogs that other rescues can’t or won’t take due to fearful nature or medical needs. We primarily rescue ‘euthanasia listed’ animals that are in immediate danger of death. We provide shots, spay/neuter, microchip, foster homes, food, medical treatment and love to dogs that are abandoned, unwanted or otherwise in need. We never euthanize an animal to make room for another. In addition to caring for our dogs and finding the best possible home for them, we provide education to the community; encouraging and promoting responsible pet ownership. If needed, our rescue dogs are retrained to socialize in an adoptive loving family. We have had phenomenal success, and amazing support from our community. We believe that animals, as living creatures are entitled to a quality life, respect and compassion. Since humans have domesticated animals, we have a moral and ethical responsibility to care for them. We are partnered with many Shelters to help them reach the same goal.
