Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Caleb is a senior gentleman with the perfect balance of adventure buddy and couch potato. He’s a smart, house-trained boy who knows his basic commands and is happiest when he’s spending time with his people—whether that’s heading out for a nice long walk or flopping onto his back for a well-earned nap.
In the home, Caleb is an absolute dream. He’s been left alone in the main living areas for extended periods with no accidents or destructive behavior. He loves all the cozy spots—dog beds, couches, human beds—and will gladly rotate between them throughout the day. At night, he settles in easily and sleeps through without issue. Fair warning: this happy old man snores, and it’s part of his charm. 😉
Caleb is friendly, easygoing, and does well meeting new people. He enjoys walks and is a good leash walker, though he may pull a bit when he gets excited. He loves cuddling on the couch, soaking up affection, and being close to his humans. He’s independent enough to relax on his own, but always happy when you’re nearby.
He’s shown interest in other dogs and seems social, though he can get a little overstimulated by busy roads or sudden dog encounters behind fences. With calm introductions and continued guidance, he’ll continue to build confidence.
If you’re looking for a sweet, happy, well-mannered senior who still has energy for walks but is just as content snoozing by your side, Caleb might be your perfect match.
*Caleb is temporarily living in a foster home until they find their family. If you would like to meet Caleb, we recommend scheduling an appointment with one of our Adoptions Specialists, so we can ensure they are here to meet you when you arrive. Please click “Adopt Caleb” to complete an interest survey and one of our Adoptions Specialists will connect with you to set up an appointment!*
