My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Aquamarine is a sassy girl who loves playtime. She is more reserved than her siblings but is equally as energetic once she’s warmed up. She enjoys playtime but definitely gets tired of being used as a landing pad by her brothers and will go sit to the side. She enjoys scratches once she gets used to you and loves food. Don’t even think about opening a can without her knowing! This sweetheart must be adopted with one of her siblings—Opal or Sapphire—or into a home that already has a playful young cat.
Aquamarine was born around March 2nd, 2025. Adoption fee is $350 for a pair or $200 if she’s joining an already-young-cat-filled household. If you are interested, please fill out the adoption application in the link below.

Since we are currently a foster only rescue, coordinating a visit when the time comes will depend on availability of our amazing fosters.

Go meet their pets

At this time, Familiar Hearts Animal Society meetings are by appointment only.

We currently rely on our amazing web of generous fosters throughout the Philadelphia area and will do our best to make a meeting as convenient as possible for both human + animal.

Meetings will need to be coordinated through the foster of the animal you are interested in meeting.

More about this rescue

Mission Statement: To end the unnecessary suffering of homeless companion animals by serving as a refuge and enabling humans to provide them quality and compassionate homes.

Our Vision: Our mission is two-fold; we want to help abandoned pets and we want to help stop pet abandonment.

We operate using a network of kind hearted hands to help find homeless animals veterinary and behavior care and then match them with appropriate forever homes. We also strive to educate pet owners about resources they might utilize in order to best understand how to provide for their friends with furry paws, feathers or claws. We always do our best to help.
