Pyrmatt is a handsome Great Pyrenees mix with a heart as big as his fluffy coat! This sweet boy loves to play and soak up attention from the people he trusts. Pyrmatt is still learning his manners, so he’s looking for an adult-only home where he can continue to grow and thrive with gentle guidance and patience.

He’s neutered, up-to-date on vaccines, microchipped, and heartworm negative — ready to start his next chapter with a loving family.

Our staff will work with potential adopters to help them find the right fit for their family as adopting a pet is a lifelong commitment.

Adoption Prices
Cats/Kittens: $75
Adult Dogs: $75
Heartworm Positive Dogs: $100
Puppies: $150 to $300

The prices listed above include the pet's spay/neuter, initial vaccines up to date, rabies vaccine, monthly preventatives (heartworm and flea/tick prevention), heartworm testing in all adult dogs (6 months and older), FeLv/FIV testing in all adult cats (6 months and older).

A $5 microchip fee is added to every adoption.

If you live in Pittsylvania County, you will be required to purchase a Pittsylvania County dog tag for an additional $5 (cash only).

The Pittsylvania Pet Center is committed to protecting the health, safety and well-being of all companion animals by working with Animal Control Officers in the enforcement of state and local laws, reducing the number of stray and homeless animals, and providing the best care possible for every animal that comes through our doors.
We will shelter and care for homeless, abandoned, and lost animals, work to keep and place animals in safe, loving homes, and provide education and resources to pet owners to enhance their lives and the lives of their companion animals.

We will strive to be the voice for the animals in our community and ensure that they are properly cared for. We believe that collaboration is key in animal welfare.
