Hello there – I am Tilli! I am a sweetheart of a senior who is looking for my forever home.
I lived most of my life in Alabama until my family dumped me on a side of a road. This makes me very sad, but it did not make me lose my faith in people. I love absolutely everyone, and I just want someone to give me love and a soft bed. Okay – scritches, walks and treats too. I am thoroughly enjoying my new life in Minnesota! I have had a hard life that has given me some aches and pains, but I now take medicine that makes me feel so much better. I am experiencing snow for the first time, and I love it! I don’t run a lot, but I woke up this morning to a winter wonderland and ran right out into it! The last time my foster mom saw me run like that was when I ran after the delivery driver; she thought I might be chasing him, but it turns out I just wanted to get in the truck and go for a ride. I love rides and trot to the car every chance I get, although with my short legs I need help getting in.
I am a patient gal, and I like to be where my people are. My foster family had a party this weekend, and I just puttered around the new people, enjoying the scritches. Everyone who meets me uses the word “sweetheart” and tells me what a good dog I am. I try! I spend most of my day snuggled in a soft bed near my people. When they are busy and darting around, I do my best to keep up with them, which wears me out. I love puttering around outside, snuffling through leaves and brush, and I love to take short walks, which is when I prefer to do my business. I do let my people know when I need to go outside, and they have gotten much better at picking up my signals, as I can’t hold it as long as I used to. I also take medicine to keep me from leaking, which helps a lot.
I live with 3 other dogs and 2 cats and get along with everyone, but I mostly ignore them and focus on the people. I am not a barker, and I am easy to please. I know that not everyone can take on a senior gal like me, but I just know that my soul mate is out there. Is it you?

All our Warrior Dogs will have all age appropriate medical care and vaccines, a microchip, and spayed/neutered if the dog is over 6 months of age at the time of adoption.
Please note that the majority of our dogs in rescue are from shelters where they have been found as strays or abandoned. Their breed description is based on our very best educated guess based on physical characteristics and their dispositions. The mission of Warrior Dog Rescue is to save the dogs that are homeless, left abandoned in shelters, are surrendered by their owners, those that are being abused and neglected, and those that are left wandering. We are committed to providing them the medical care they need, helping them to overcome their past by providing them loving, educated foster homes, finding them their perfect forever home by means of a thorough adoption process, and guiding them on their journey into their new life. They all deserve a “good dog life… every single one of them.”
Warrior Dog Rescue will be a model rescue by partnering with overcrowded shelters that need to make room for more abandoned dogs. We will continue to educate others about responsible dog ownership in regards to safety, spay/neuter, nutrition, obedience, socializing, abuse, and neglect. We acknowledge that we will have a role in this industry to take the lead on providing awareness to others in the community and across the country. Every dog will know what it feels like to be loved till the end of their life.
