My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Hey there, I’m Lilith—a 1 to 2-year-old sweetheart with a heart full of love (and okay… some heartworm, but I’m getting the best care at Hard Licker Ranch and healing like a champ!).

Life didn’t start out easy for me, but now I know one thing for sure: humans are amazing, and I’m loyal to mine with all my heart. I’d thrive as your one-and-only pup—no other dogs or kitty cats, please—but I do love kiddos and would be the best snuggle buddy you’ve ever had.

If you’re looking for a loyal, loving companion who just wants to be close, cuddle up, and never let go—I’m your girl.

Let’s write the happy chapter of my story… together.

More about this shelter

We are a family run rescue that we have established on our property. We pull from local animal control and shelters, as well as owner surrenders and high risk shelters. At Hard Licker Ranch we operate in small packs so that we can socialize the dogs as well as to understand the most about their personalities. We have 2 barns that are temperature controlled, and the dogs have 24 hour access to come in and out through weathered doggy doors. We do it to make life better for every dog that comes into our care and give them a second chance. We also do community outreach and TNR. Our rescue is also a Sanctuary for barn cats who need a home!
