Hi there, I’m Jac Jac! I’m a sweet hound dog who loves to sniff and explore. That’s what we do. I might be an older fella, but I like to stay active, and I have lots of living and loving still to do. Age is just a number, so please don’t let mine fool you. It’s especially hard and stressful for a family dog like me to be stuck in a shelter. I want to be out and about, having adventures and living my best life with you. I hope you come for me soon.
I’m a handsome, 9-year-old, 87-pound sweetheart, with the cutest expressive face, beautiful markings, and a friendly, delightful personality. I’m already crate trained and I believe that I’m housebroken too. I keep my kennel area very clean and I know to go to the bathroom when I get outside. It’s hard to keep up a routine here at the shelter, but hopefully I won’t be here for long. I originally came to Wayside 4 1/2 years ago, after I was rescued by the ASPCA. I was quickly adopted, and I’ve had an incredible life. Sadly, they were no longer able to take care of me due to health issues in the family. I miss them. I understand that life happens, though, and I’m grateful to have another chance at a happy life with a new family. That’s where you come in!
I’ve successfully lived in a home as an indoor dog for the past 4 years with adults, cats, and other dogs. I am friendly with everyone I meet. I’d love to have a big fenced backyard where I can roam around and explore to my heart’s content. That’s what makes me happy. The fresh air and scents of nature just put me in a great mood. I also enjoy splashing around in the water or going for walks around the neighborhood or on the local trails. I’m a strong and athletic dog, so I might pull on my leash when I smell something interesting, but I mostly trot along with a loose leash right by your side. A little daily exe
