She’s happiest off-leash in nature, where she can explore at her own pace—leash walks in busy areas can be overwhelming for her, but she’s a star on quiet trails and open hikes. Callie knows her basic commands and is eager to please.
Callie does have separation anxiety, which is currently managed with Trazodone. She’s also shy and cautious at first, especially around men, but give her a few minutes and she’ll be your best friend tail wags and all. Despite her fears, she’s never shown any signs of aggression. She’s great with cats playful but gentle and would do well with a calm, older dog companion. Callie is looking for a calm, loving home where she can feel safe, be herself, and be part of the family.
