My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Peppercorn’s Mom!

This lady is a shy little mama, but she doesn’t let motherhood define her... except for well, her name! Known for being the mom to one very spicy Peppercorn (who is not yet available) Peppercorn's mom just couldn't shake the association. Beneath her initial timid shell, she’s a lanky, goofy tuxedo with a fluffy white belly and an insatiable craving for snuggles & head scratchies! PM is playful and sweet, and loves chasing her own tail!

At first, Peppercorn's Mom may come into your home and seek out a quiet corner to observe. After a little time, slow introductions, and (of course) her favorite treats, she’ll come out to show you her true self. She loves bashing her head up against your legs to show that she trusts you and has lots of love to give!

PM has a cute croaky voice (still learning how to use her squeak box) and she loves chasing her owl wand toy! She was raised in a colony of cats and is social and curious towards other cats. She has done well with a variety of other foster kitties with proper introductions and would make a wonderful companion to confident resident cat who can show her the ropes around the house.

Peppercorn's Mom is still unsure about people, so she would likely do best in a house without very young children. She does enjoy being near some light activity and will poke her head out to see what’s going on. Peppercorn’s Mom has got lots of love to give, and if you give her a little time and attention, she’ll repay you with purrs and affection!

Peppercorn's Mom is estimated to be at least three years old. She is spayed, microchipped, flea treated, dewormed, vaccinated and has tested negative for FIV/FeLV. Please apply for this sweet tuxie today!

Their adoption process

1.

Submit Application

Typically we talk a little with potential adopters to find a cat who is a good fit before sharing the application.

2.

Approve Application

We check over the application including checking vet references and doing landlord checks.

3.

Interview

We spend more time chatting with the adopters to specifically go over any questions from the application and details about the specific cat.

4.

Meet the Pet

Potential adopters have a meet and greet with the cat or kitten in the foster home.

5.

Sign Adoption Contract

At the meet and greet, if all goes well, the adoption contract can be signed, the fee can be paid, and the pet can go home!

6.

Pay Fee

7.

Take the Pet Home

Additional adoption info

We try to do our best to make sure we find good fitting, responsible homes, without wasting a lot of our time. Our app has a lot of screening questions which help eliminate potential adopters who might not be serious (they usually just don't return the app), or not a good fit, which is why the in depth interview happens once the app is returned.

More about this rescue

We are a small but dedicated 501c3 nonprofit cat rescue specializing in making one person's garbage kitten another person's forever cat.

Our mission is to reduce feline suffering and overpopulation using a combination of TNR and adoptions. We foster and socialize whenever we have the resources to do so, including behavioral cats and kittens who might otherwise just be candidates for TNR.
