My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Drum roll please!!!!! Millie & Gladys are ready for their forever family. They are bonded chihuahua mix sisters and will need to be adopted together. Millie is 19# & Gladys is a slim 12#. They are 4 year old litter mates who recently were surrendered due to their previous owners medical difficulties. Millie is sweet as she can be and a little more timid than Gladys but warms up quickly. Gladys is a tiny spicy if Millie is getting too much attention and warms up slower.
“The Girls” are crate & potty trained. They are microchipped, spayed and up to date on the vaccines and preventatives. A fence yard is preferred but not required. If you think you have room in your life for these two sweet girls please fill out an application @  https://www.handsofhoperescue.com/2023-adoption-application .

Their adoption process

Additional adoption info

We require an adoption application to be filled out. www.handsofhoperescue.com/adoptapp We will interview all potential adopters and set up a home visit. We will do reference checks and make sure this is the right dog for you. A final contract will then be signed by adopter.

Go meet their pets

Since we are a foster based rescue, you will need to contact us about our available dogs up for adoption. We do hope to have adoption events in the future at different locations.

More about this rescue

We are a new rescue, we are working on our 501C3, have our Kansas State Tax Exempt status and will have Federal soon. We save dogs from Kansas and surrounding states that are set for euthanization, are in high kill shelters, or are surrendered by owners who cannot keep them anymore. We are FOSTER HOME BASED ONLY and do not have a kennel, so all of the dogs we take are kept in a home to be loved by a foster family. We are a group of people who want to make a difference once dog at a time.
