Morning Glory has a special adoption fee of $100 for a very special girl.
Morning Glory had a home, but through no fault of her own, she had to come back to rescue. Her adopter had a change in her life and could no longer care for Morning Glory.
It was noted that Morning Glory was starting to have some skin issues after coming back. Through trial and error and a wonderful dermatologist, it was found that she has Pemphigus Foliaceus. This is an immune condition that affects her skin. She gets crusts on her face and ears. It can affect other parts of her body. It can be very itchy. She was put on Cyclavance and the she is stable at her current dose. She does get it twice a day at 0.4ml in the morning and 0.3ml in the evening. It does cost approximately $170 for a 50ml vial, (you can check the cost with your vet, it may be a little different),which does last for over 2 months. Her adopter will need to be diligent in providing the medication twice daily to her and keeping her on it. She will need to follow with a vet, whether that be a vet of the adopter, or she continues to be followed at the Dermatologist. It is NOT contagious. You can read about this disease here

She also needs Revolution Plus monthly. Even though she is an inside cat, since she is immunocompromised, she needs that extra protection. Fleas and ticks can be carried in on shoes, pants, etc.
After her biopsies and testing and getting her dose correct, she is released from the vet to find her home! It has been a long number of months for her.
Morning Glory is a sweet sweet girl. She loves to be loved, she adores being pet. She likes to lay in a sunbeam and chill. She loves to watch Cat TV outside the window.
She gets along with other cats after a proper introduction. She would be fine around older children. It is unknown how she would do around dogs.
