Dog Name: Liam-chops
Breed: boxer mix
Sex: neutered male
Age: 11 months
Weight: 43
Medical Needs: none
Housebroken: yes
Crate trained: yes
Good in the car: He loves car rides! BUT, he does need to be restrained so that he doesn't try to climb in the driver's lap or up on the dashboard to take a closer look. He has gotten car sick on longer car rides (hour+), but he will start drooling to let you know its coming.
Good on a leash: yes, though still working on not getting distracted
Energy level: medium. Liam enjoys a good chase around the yard with other dogs, but he is also happy to lounge the day away inside
Need a fenced in yard: no, he could be leash walked
Dog Friendly: Yes. He's in a foster home with 4 other dogs of various ages and sizes. The only issue he has had is resource guarding his food, which is easily handled by feeding him in his crate.
If yes, does your foster need another dog in its adoptive homes? no
Cat Friendly? yes. he's curious, but was easily rebuked by household cats
Kid Friendly: yes
If yes, what's the youngest child you'd recommend they be placed with? Liam may jump when excited so babies and infants are probably not advised
Special traits that make your foster special or that we need to know about them? Liam is a gem. He's eager to please, willing to learn, quick to catch on to rules and schedules, and happy to meet everyone. He takes treats so gently and is a very sweet pup. While he can be a bit timid in new situations, he has settled in very quickly with his foster family and has been a near perfect house guest. He's an EASY dog
