My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Helper takes his job very seriously. His primary responsibilities include perching next to the sink to
supervise dishwashing, following you around while you clean litter boxes to ensure everything meets
his high standards, and reminding you when it’s time for pets or treats.

He’s an expert at being nearby without being in the way (though results may vary), and he excels at
quiet companionship. Helper loves to sit nearby on the sofa or coffee table, offering moral support,
warm vibes, and the occasional judgmental glance but hasn’t quite worked up the courage to try a lap
but you can tell he wants to. Like his brother Buddy, he enjoys toys and cat trees. He will likely take
some time to get used to you in a new home, but offer food and pets and he should adjust quickly.

If you’re looking for a cat who will eventually want to be involved in your daily routine and will
happily keep you company, Helper is your guy.

Additional adoption info

We are not a shelter and work entirely with our foster parents. Once a potential adopter is authorized (after application and home visit), that person is invited to meet the cat/kitten. If all goes well, fee is paid and cat goes with new person.

Adoption application

Go meet their pets

Once application and home visit is approved, potential adoptees are invited to visit the cat/kitten at our foster homes.

More about this rescue

Cat Action Team is a non-profit, volunteer-driven group dedicated to providing TNVR (trap-neuter-vaccinate-return) services for cat colonies and caretakers in central Virginia. Some medical support and food provided. We adopt out kittens found in colonies who are fostered, socialized, and fully vetted.
