My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Bashful is friendly but reserved, preferring to observe the world from a comfortable distance while
he figures things out. He may not be ready for pets just yet, but he shows his affection by choosing
to hang out nearby and keeping you company on his own terms. He will lightly bat at fingers with
soft paws (no claws).

Bashful really loves to play and gets delightfully animated, proving there’s a confident, curious kitty
just waiting for the right moment to shine. After eating, he happily sits on a cat tree or rug and
watches foster mom.

Bashful would do best with a patient, understanding home that appreciates quiet companionship and
celebrates small wins. With time, consistency, and a little trust, he’s the kind of cat who will make
every milestone feel extra special.

Additional adoption info

We are not a shelter and work entirely with our foster parents. Once a potential adopter is authorized (after application and home visit), that person is invited to meet the cat/kitten. If all goes well, fee is paid and cat goes with new person.

Adoption application

Go meet their pets

Once application and home visit is approved, potential adoptees are invited to visit the cat/kitten at our foster homes.

More about this rescue

Cat Action Team is a non-profit, volunteer-driven group dedicated to providing TNVR (trap-neuter-vaccinate-return) services for cat colonies and caretakers in central Virginia. Some medical support and food provided. We adopt out kittens found in colonies who are fostered, socialized, and fully vetted.
