Introducing Perla! She's a sweet, vocal kitty, and a protective mama to three sweet kittens (Annie, Iggy and Lulu). She loves chin and base-of-tail scratches and she purrs up a storm when she's being doted on. She's a friendly girl and will walk up to an outstretched hand for pets. She doesn't love being held - she seems a bit scared of heights - but put her in your lap and she starts purring immediately!

Perla is super easy-going and loves to play and chase her kittens around the house. Rescued from the street in Newark, she was super skinny but has now recently gotten back up to a healthy weight. She's still getting used to her new healthy body, gaining confidence every day!

Perla is about 1 year old and healthy. She is spayed, microchipped, up to date on vaccines, tested negative for FIV/FeLV and so ready for a wonderful furrever home!

Additional adoption info

Interested adopters first fill out an adoption application, after which they can visit our animals in their foster homes. If they would like to adopt and their application is approved, they then complete an adoption contract. We also ask for an adoption fee to help us continue our work.

We hold Saturday adoption events at Unleashed by Petco in Park Slope and Petsmart on Atlantic Avenue in Brooklyn (check our website and Facebook page for more information) and have cats at Bushy Tails pet store in Bushwick and Petsmart.
