My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Renna – The Sweetheart Who Steals Hearts

Renna’s life began with her sister Reese, rescued as tiny bonded kittens by Small Lives Matter Kitten Rescue. The two were adopted together into a loving home, but sadly, they were recently returned due to severe allergies in a newborn family member. While it was heartbreaking to leave the family who loved her, Renna is ready to begin a new chapter — one that’s forever this time.

Renna is a stunning black beauty with a silky coat, bright eyes, and a heart that overflows with affection. She’s a lap cat through and through, happiest when she can curl up close and purr her gentle song. Renna loves following her people from room to room, quietly keeping you company, and soaking up every pet and snuggle she can get. She has a calm, loving way of making you feel like the most important person in the world.

One of Renna’s most endearing qualities is how she watches over the kittens in the kitten room at the café. She greets them gently, keeps an eye on their play, and seems to take on the role of a caring aunt — always patient, always kind.

While Renna enjoys playtime, her true joy comes from connection — leaning into your touch, resting in your lap, and sharing quiet moments together. She’s deeply bonded with her sister Reese, and their closeness is a comfort to them both. They’d love to find a home together, but Renna’s affectionate nature means she’ll bring warmth and love wherever she goes.

At about 3 years old, Renna is still young, still playful, and completely ready to give her heart to a family who will cherish her forever. After all she’s been through, she deserves nothing less.

You can meet Renna (and Reese) at the Frisky Cat Café in St. Augustine, where you’ll see her true personality shine.

Go meet their pets

We are a foster based rescue. Our kitties are raised in loving foster homes, so they are socialized, love people and have good potty habits. Some are already adjusted to busy households with dogs, other adult cats and children. Please send us an inquiry and we will schedule a meet and greet.

More about this rescue

Small Lives Matter Kitten Rescue

We are a foster based rescue providing home care havens for kittens in need.

We are a 501(c)3 charitable organization supported by a network of volunteer fosters. We provide urgent care to neonate and sick kittens in need of life saving support.
We provide a haven to kittens until they are thriving and ready for spay and neuter surgery and then adoption.

Kittens under eight weeks old are one of the most at-risk populations in the United States, being killed or allowed to die by the hundreds of thousands every year. Our vision is that all neonatal, sick and other at-risk kittens are given a chance to grow and thrive through life-saving fosters and then adoption. Join us in the fight to stop euthanasia of orphaned kittens and share our dream that one day animals will no longer be killed in America's shelters. We believe every life is important, no matter how small.

We need everyone's help with our mission. There are many ways you can help. Please donate, volunteer to foster or adopt today!!
