Meet Bunny: A Brave Little Survivor Ready for Love. Bunny is a one-year-old, 10-pound Chihuahua mix with a story that will tug at your heart. She was discovered tethered in the backyard of an abandoned home, left behind when her family moved out. For three long weeks, Bunny survived alone, emaciated and terrified. A medical exam revealed over a dozen fractured ribs. Abuse is suspected.
Despite her traumatic past, Bunny has shown remarkable resilience. She has some neurological effects from her injuries, which add a unique little hop to her walk, hence the name Bunny. She also exhibits resource guarding with food and objects, a behavior that reflects her time in survival mode.
In foster care, Bunny began to relax and show her true personality. She’s happy, sweet, and affectionate, with a deep need for love and safety. Bunny is looking for a patient, compassionate adopter who will offer her the stable, secure home she’s always deserved.
Bunny’s $225 adoption fee includes spaying, vaccines, microchipping, and a free wellness visit at Phoenix Mountain Animal Hospital.
To meet Bunny, call 602-971-1334 to schedule a visit. Walk-ins are also welcome Thursday through Saturday from 11:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Come meet this brave little Bunny. You might just be the hero she’s been waiting for!

Home Fur Good has trained adoption counselors to review and question any potential problems/issues with application. We do require an adoption fee which ranges for dogs $150-$300 and for cats $50-$100. All cats and dogs are spayed/neutered, microchipped, vaccinated and vet checked.
If another dog or dogs are present in the household we require a meet and greet prior to adoption. All members of the household must be on board with adoption. We do not adopt our rescues out without meeting person that will be responsible - no "gift" adoptions. We contract that if cat/dog must be relinquished they are returned to us. If there is a change of ownership we must be kept informed who responsible party is. Fees are non refundable.

More about this rescue
Home Fur Good is a non profit no kill animal shelter located in the NE Valley. We take a majority of our cats and dogs from County, many who have treatable medical conditions and would otherwise be put down. We assess physical and behavior and work with the cats/dogs to find the best suitable match. It is our goal that each cat or dog that comes to our shelter ultimately be placed in their "furever" homes.
We also operate a low cost vaccine and microchip clinic each Sunday. We want to help community be able to care for and keep their animals safe. We do not charge vet fee only fee for vaccine and microchip. Additionally we have a low cost dental clinic each Wednesday. Check our website for more details.
