Meet Nova

This striking scruff queen with sky-blue eyes and one glorious ear up is Nova - and she's ready to light up your world!

At just 8 months old, Nova is still very much a puppy, and trust us - her puppy game is strong. She's playful, curious, and just the right amount of goofy.

Nova came to us from a hoarding case, where love and stability weren't part of her daily life. But oh, how far she's come.

Nova is 99.9% deaf, but don't you dare underestimate this girl. Her incredible foster parents have poured their hearts into creating a world where she thrives. With structure, consistency, and a whole lot of love, Nova has learned how to communicate through signs and routines - and she's rocking it.

This quirky gal is equal parts wild child and learning to be a snuggle bug. One moments she's discovering shadows on the wall, the next she's melting into you for cuddles she never knew she needed. Her sense of wonder is contagious and watching her figure out the world is something special.

Nova would love a home that's ready to embrace her uniqueness, continue her communication training, and maybe even has a confident dog sibling to show her the ropes. Deaf or not, she's got heart, smarts, and spirit to spare.

Quirky. Spirited. Resilient. Nova is ready for her forever adventure. Are you? If you are interested in meeting Nova, please fill out our application here.

Additional adoption info

We do our best to get back to every potential applicant but at times we are only able to get back to the strongest applicant. We are a team of volunteers who work full time jobs and do rescue on the side.

Go meet their pets

Most of our fosters are in the San Bernardino area. Our pups are fostered in private homes so appointments must be set up prior to visiting.

More about this rescue

We are a group of friends with a heart and passion for animals, especially dogs. We are drawn to the ones with the sad stories so that we can rewrite their stories and make them happy.
Each of our dogs will be fully vetted (spay/neuter), vaccines and microchip.
An in person home check is required.
