Welcome Oliver to CCPAL Rescue. Oliver is an 8-month old Jack Rat (Jack Russell/Rat Terrier). He is about 12 pounds and is a small dog with a scruffy and wire-haired coat. He is a lower shedding dog and would make a great walking companion. He is confident, social, outgoing, affectionate and adorable. He isn’t clingy but likes being held and is great with other dogs. He is in the puppy play group with girls, boys and dogs bigger and older than him. I would think his breed would love to chase squirrels out of the yard. He is good in his kennel and not overly vocal. He is getting his vaccines and will be neutered and ready for his forever home soon. He is adorable. He would be fine as a family dog with children. We like them to be 8 or older. He is fine with baths and nail trims. He is learning leash manners. He is currently in Texas and can be adopted locally or we can work with one of the wonderful transporters to get her to Washington, Portland, Minnesota, Vermont or all along the East Coast. Her adoption fee is 400 and transport is $200. You will fill out an application. We will call references, do a background check and call your vet. We will then do an interview with you and let you speak to the foster mom or kennel staff that know the dogs best. Once completed we are ready to set up transport to your area. Our adoption fee is 200 and transport aboard Rescue Road Trips is 185.

We promote low-cost spay/neuter programs; advise on basic health care & proper shelter for pets & offer excellent dog obedience classes several times each year. Our fostering program & training classes socialize pets & help make them more adoptable. Since February 2002, C.C.P.A.L. has rescued nearly 5,000 animals. We currently house 100+ dogs and puppies and are in constant need of foster homes for these pets until we find them permanent homes.
