Hello
If you are looking for the perfect family dog , look no further!!
My name is Cosmo , I am roughly 11 months old. My story starts with being dumped as a youngster in a ditch with my brothers. I have lived in 2 different foster homes , which taught me different things. One didn’t have a yard , and I had to do daily walks on a leash. I was allowed on the furniture and there were kids I would play with. The second was on a farm with a fenced in yard. There I used a doggie door and had several dogs of all sizes to play with .
I do great on a leash ; I love playing in water and my kiddie pool. I am getting better and better at riding in the car. I love people and kids! You take the time to pet me, and you will get all kinds of kisses. I am a true love bug. My favorite treat is raw carrots. I like any toy , especially if I can tear the stuffing out of it.
I am neutered , micro chipped and up to date on vaccinations.

Safe Haven Animal Rescue Program (SHARP) is based in rural Polk County Tennessee. We have no shelter or animal control in our county. Currently we are the only 501C3 non-profit in the county. We advertise our animals out of state ,which gives them better odds of a happy long life.
Our dogs and cats are fostered in TN with loving families. You will have the opportunity to speak with the foster of the animal you are interested in. All our Cats and Dogs are completely vetted ,which includes spay/neuter, vaccinations , microchipped (dogs only)and heartworm testing (dogs) . All of them come with complete medical records ,which travel with them. Their adoption fee covers a health certificate from the vet and transport fee.
Our rescue doesn't have an actual shelter building in the Michigan area. Due to this it is not possible to meet them prior to their adoption. Our dogs and cats are transported up to their new owner’s biweekly! We have a 14 day no questions asked money back guarantee and the dog/cats can be returned to us if things don't work out. We try hard to get good matches in our homes so that everyone has a happy life together! To date we have placed over a thousand dogs and cats in loving homes!

More about this rescue
2008 a small group of animal lovers met and started a group to be named Safe Haven Animal Rescue Program (SHARP). These animal lovers personally saw the effects of a rural county with no animal shelters. Polk County is in the far South-eastern corner of Tennessee. It is a very rural county with most of its 442 sq. miles belonging to the Cherokee National Forest. Unfortunately, the beauty of the mountains and forest has drawn people to drop family pets off to survive on their own.
SHARP’s dedicated members knew becoming a 501(c)3 would help with fund raising and achieve long term goals. With our new status achieved, SHARP put together a new mission statement and strategic plan to guide the group forward.
Our group consists of hard-working everyday volunteers with the passion to give time and love to every dog or cat taken in. Currently we use a foster based program to house our dogs and cats. Each dog or cat taken in is given all vaccinations, heartworm checked (dogs)and spayed/neutered before being offered for adoption. SHARP dogs and cats are kept with their foster parent and treated like a member of their own family. The foster-based system allows us to give detail to potential families about each dog’s and cat's characteristics and needs. Of course, the tears flow when it is time to hand a dog or cat over to a new family, but the tears are always followed up with a smile knowing one more dog or cat has a forever home.
