Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Faith

Breed: Weimaraner Terrier mix
Date of Birth: May 23, 2025
Gender: Female Spayed
Expected Weight: 60-70 pounds

Personality

Faith is a gentle and nurturing puppy with a calm demeanor that makes her the perfect companion for those seeking a peaceful presence in their lives. Her soothing nature and affectionate heart ensure she bonds deeply with her family, providing warmth and companionship. Faith enjoys quiet moments and is happiest when she's close to her loved ones, whether it's cuddling on the couch or taking leisurely walks. Her nurturing personality makes her an ideal pet for families seeking a gentle and devoted friend.

Breed Information

The Weimaraner is a large, athletic sporting breed originally from Germany, known for its sleek silver-gray coat and striking pale eyes. Highly energetic and intelligent, Weimaraner's need plenty of daily exercise and mental stimulation, making them best suited for active families with time to devote to training and play. Often called "velcro dogs," they form strong bonds with their humans and may develop separation anxiety if left alone too often. Friendly and loyal, they typically do well with children and other dogs but may chase smaller animals due to a strong prey drive. Their short coat requires minimal grooming, though they need regular brushing and ear cleaning. Health concerns include hip dysplasia, bloat, and some eye conditions. With proper care, training, and companionship, Weimaraner's make devoted and energetic family pets.

Owner's Responsibilities

  1. Exercise:

    • Ensure Faith gets daily gentle exercise through walks and playtime. While she enjoys relaxation, regular activity is important for her health.

  2. Training:

    • Enroll Faith in basic obedience classes to enhance her social skills and command understanding. Positive reinforcement and consistency will help her learn effectively.

  3. Grooming:

    • Regular grooming is important to maintain Faith’s coat health. Brushing once or twice a week will manage shedding and keep her coat looking its best.

  4. Health Care:

    • Keep up with routine veterinary visits and vaccinations. A balanced diet tailored to her size and energy level will support her overall health.

  5. Affection and Socialization:

    • Provide Faith with plenty of love and opportunities to socialize with other dogs and people. This will help her grow into a confident and well-adjusted adult dog.
