Zola is a Courtesy Listing and is not housed at the Animal Shelter. Please note that the City of Bloomington Animal Care & Control accepts no responsibility for this pet. Potential adopters are responsible for communicating directly with the pet's guardian. I found Zola (pit/beagle mix, about 40 pounds) and brought her into my home 2 years ago. She’s an affectionate, cuddly, funny, sweet, and goofy dog. After I took her in, I got her neutered shortly after. Zola is a wonderful dog, but she needs a devoted owner that can love and care for her. I have an old dog that has recently fallen into health issues and cannot keep up with her. She’s very playful with him (they’re best friends), but he’s too weak. Money will be tight with his vet bills, so unfortunately I had to make a decision. I have a small child and she’s wonderful with him. She’s friendly with all animals, including cats. I’ve never seen her be aggressive to anyone/anything! Zola has separation anxiety. It’s not extreme, but she gets anxious without the comfort of her owners if she’s left alone for several hours. She’s house trained and sleeps with me during the night. She’s only had accidents while being left home alone for several hours! With the right crate training/proper attention, she could thrive! I hope to find her a home that will fit her needs and give her the love she deserves! We do require landlord approval and we do not adopt out animals to live completely outside. Our adoption fees are $75 for dogs and cats under 5 years old and $55 for those 5 years and older.
