My personality

My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Bailey is a 2 yr old golden retriever mix, around 48lbs. Bailey is a happy go lucky boy who has the cutest ears and smile, and a sweet personality. He is on the smaller side of a medium dog and loves attention. He is incredibly smart and learns tricks and commands with just a few repetitions. He knows how to sit and shake and goes to his room (kennel) when asked. He loves to play with dogs or people and takes treats very gently. Once he’s done playing, he loves to cuddle and hang out on the couch. He would love a home with a backyard and another dog to play with (but the more the merrier!). His right paw has a slight limp due to an old injury, but he doesn’t let it slow him down! He chases cats in his foster home, so a dog-savvy cat if any, would be best. He is great with the toddler in his foster home, but he does jump when he gets excited, so older kids would be better. Bailey is housebroken and good on leash – the perfect dog for your family!

All of The Right to Live dogs are fostered locally in San Antonio Texas and will be transported to other states to their new families upon adoption. We believe fostering dogs and not having them decompress in a kenneled environment is more beneficial for the dogs and builds their trust and companionship in a family situation. Adoption fee includes transportation costs, previous/current medical treatment (spay/neuter, etc.) and a health certificate for cross-state travel.
