Mama Magnolia is the mom to our Tree babies, all of which have been adopted. We rescued her from Kern County shelter when she was heavily pregnant back in March. She is a 3 year old terrier mix who came into the shelter from a hoarding situation and has been working on getting more and more comfy with people after living in a backyard her whole life.
She loves other dogs and definitely needs a confident doggie buddy in her forever home as they have helped her come out of her shell a lot. She loves being part of a pack.She is such a love bug to her people. She’s getting better and better with strangers. She will initially bark at new people, but she warms up after a bit.
Maggie is always the first of the dogs in her foster home to settle in for snuggles. She loves a good adventure, but is still working on being comfy on leash.Maggie sleeps in bed with her foster mom all night and is the epitome of a velcro dog once she bonds.
She will thrive with a patient, loving, gentle home. She has been through so much but is such a love bug once she trusts you.

We rescue dogs and place them in foster homes until they are ready for adoption. We vaccinate, spay/neuter, microchip, and provide any additional care such as surgery or rehabilitation. We help each dog get ready to be placed in a happy forever home.
Potential adopters are asked to complete an online adoption application and may be visited by one of our volunteers to do a home interview. We aim to find the best fit for each dog's needs.
Our adoption fees range between $400-$1,000 for domestic dogs and those from Mexico. Dogs are assigned an adoption fee based on several factors such as age, breed, health and behavior, amongst others.
For our international dogs from overseas, adoption fees range $800-$2,000. International adoption fees are higher due to the travel and boarding costs, as well as the above-mentioned factors for domestic dogs. These dogs stay in their country of origin for weeks, or sometimes months, prior to being able to travel.
