Rufio, otherwise known to his foster mom as “Rex Magnus”, is a very sweet boy who loves being the center of attention. He was very frightened of people and of loud noises when he came to us, and this is still the case most of the time. He will run and hide when scared, He has bonded with his Foster Mom, and now allows himself to be patted and held. He is learning to be groomed with the furminator tool, but will only accept it for short period of time. He often comes when his name is called. He is not a fan of wet food, but he also likes treats like Temptations. He doesn’t seem to have much experience with toys, but is learning to play with a stuffed fish with a jingle bell on a stick. He will do best in an environment with a single adult or a couple, without children and without other pets in the home. A second pet may be a possibility after he is settled in. Adoptive parents must be patient and be willing to let him set the pace in developing friendship and trust. If you are lucky enough to adopt him, you will have a wonderful time together as he grows into a loving family member in his forever home.

More about this shelter
PALNV started in California in 1993 to help abandoned, abused and neglected pets. They moved to Las Vegas, NV, after the recession. It took a couple of years to decide what was needed most in our new community and the decision was made to help community cats find their forever homes.
We opened Rescued Treasures Cat Café in August of 2019 and adopted 40 cats. We were shut down for three months in 2020 due to the Pandemic but still managed to take in 335 cats and kittens and find homes for 299. The first quarter of 2021 we took in 146 cats and adopted 84.
Our cats are from the streets. They have been abandoned and even though they are living on the streets they are very sweet loving cats. We also take out medical cats and kittens from our local shelter.
We are always looking for volunteers, donors and fosters to help save more lives. Our passion is being a part of the solution to saving our community cats!
