Eugene is an adorable DSH orange and white tabby male born approximately 4/14/2025.
Eugene is a beautiful orange-and-white kitten with the sweetest, most soulful eyes.
He’s perfectly content to lounge around the house and stay close by to his people. He loves being part of the action, quietly observing from a sunny spot or curling up with the resident cats on the kitty condo, couch, or chair.
Treats are the key to Eugene’s heart— especially chicken! He’ll happily take them right from your hand, and with every snack and gentle word, you’ll earn a little more of his trust. He adores the company of other cats and would make a wonderful companion for a friendly, confident feline. Eugene is also a smart little guy—he recently learned how to sit on command!
Eugene would do best in a relatively calm household without young children or dogs. With patience, love, and a furry friend by his side, he’ll reward you with a lifetime of quiet companionship and gentle affection.
Eugene is microchipped and currently in a loving foster home. His adoption fee in $105.00

Adopters must be 21 years or older and willing to invest the time and money required to care for a pet. In addition to providing love and attention, regular medical care is required. Please ask if you would like more information about veterinary fees and costs.
Our animals come from a variety of situations. Some have been dumped at shelters or vets, and many are ill or malnourished when rescued. Although the animal has been in a protected environment, there is the possibility of unrecognized illness appearing after an adoption is finalized, especially because of the stress the animal may experience during the first few days at its new home. We advise adopters of the animal's known history and provide its veterinary records, but frequently we know only what the animal chooses to tell us. We cannot make any guarantee regarding the long-term health of any animal. Adoption fees are generally not refundable unless prior arrangements are made.
If you feel that you are ready to adopt, please e-mail adoptions@nbcrtx.org for prompt attention. A NBCR adoption counselor will contact you to arrange an interview.
