My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

✨ Meet Zoomie ✨

Zoomie may not be zooming around just yet—this sweet girl is still learning that the world can be a safe and cozy place. Rescued as part of a litter born outside, Zoomie is taking things at her own pace and looking for a patient, understanding family to help her blossom.

Right now, Zoomie feels most comfortable observing life from secret hidey spots—like a cardboard box, a soft cat cave, or tucked behind a blanket—where she can peek out and watch the world go by. She’s not quite ready for hands-on affection, but she doesn’t mind being admired from afar (in fact, she prefers it!).

With time, trust, and gentle encouragement, Zoomie may surprise you—perhaps by cautiously coming forward for a few licks of a Churu treat. 💛 She’s looking for a calm home that will respect her boundaries, celebrate small victories, and cheer her on as she grows in confidence.

If you believe that love can be quiet, patient, and magical, Zoomie is ready to find a safe haven where she can finally flourish. 🐾

Stop in and meet Zoomie in person during our adoption hours. For more information, email info@ahconnects.org or call us at 847-697-2880 x: 0, and the staff will be happy to help you.

All of our cats and kittens go home spayed or neutered, microchipped, and up to date on their core vaccines, as well as flea and tick preventatives. Each adoption also includes a 3.5-pound bag of Iams cat food and a free vet exam at one of our participating veterinary partners.
