Timmy is one of the friendliest cats you can find. This affectionate boy loves meeting new people and soaking up attention. He loves being patted on the head, back and belly and will even let you hold his paws for some time. Timmy likes to be close to his people, whether curled up nearby or snuggled on your lap if you invite him.
He also has a playful side, especially when chasing spring toys or wand teasers. Timmy is food-motivated and is always happy to get a treat. He previously struggled with his weight but is now at a healthy range.
Timmy does well being alone during the day, but if he knows someone is home, he’ll want to be near them. He tolerates being picked up and held, though he prefers to keep on the ground and will jump down when given the opportunity.
The only time Timmy is grumpy is when his claws are being trimmed, but even so he is gentle when showing his discontent, he has never tried to bite or scratch anyone.
Timmy has no history with dogs. He’s lived with one other cat his whole life, and while they get along well most of the time there is an occasional territorial spat. Timmy has been around kids without no problems, as long as the kids know to be respectful of him.
Timmy is allergic to poultry (chicken, duck, turkey) and if he eats it regularly he will have hair loss and sores. He is currently on a fish/hypoallergenic diet and is having no problems.
Timmy is being rehomed due to financial circumstances. He would thrive in a loving home with someone who appreciates a loyal, people-oriented cat who enjoys both companionship and playtime.
Timmy is participating in our Courtesy Adoption Posting Program and is not the property of Toronto Cat Rescue. Toronto Cat Rescue does not accept responsibility for any pet placements that result from this service. If you need more info or would like to adopt please contact Susanna at 343-204-3695 or sivanenk@gmail.com - Thank you!

Additional adoption info
Adoption fee is $225 per adult cat, and $300 for kittens (under 8 months old).
This ensures that the cats that come into our care receive the attention they need, are spayed or neutered, and receive a rabies vaccination at the appropriate age. For City of Toronto residents, the adoption fee includes a mandatory City of Toronto cat license that is valid for one year. As you can imagine, these fees only begin to cover our costs; donations and ongoing fundraising efforts carry us the rest of the way!
Note:
-Senior cats (8 years or older) have an adoption fee of the adopter's choice, vs. our standard adult adoption fee of $225.
-Our adoption fee for an adult bonded pair (8 months or older) is $175 per cat vs. $225 per cat. Thanks for giving two loving friends a home together!
