Archimedes has been making slow but steady progress in learning to trust people. He’s now decided that humans might actually be pretty good company. Most afternoons, he’ll wander into his foster’s office to hang out at the end of the workday, and lately he’s even taken to perching on a shoulder during lunch. He still prefers not to step up from his cage, but if he lands in another room, he’ll willingly step onto a hand or shoulder to get a lift back.
He enjoys his out-of-cage time and comes right out when the door opens. Millet, leafy greens, and Nutri-Berries are top treats in his book. He loves toys he can shred, adores rope perches, and tolerates a light misting even if he’s not quite sure about bathing yet.
With his gentle personality and slow-but-sure approach to trust, Archimedes is ready for a patient home that appreciates a thoughtful bird with a lot of charm and character.

Whether interested in adopting a particular bird or not, you will need to fill out an Adoption Application, which can be found on our website. From there, our adoption team will process your application (including background check, veterinarian check for all current animals, and a home visit)
We will not ship any of our adoptable birds, and have a 100-mile adoption radius. We do not adopt to breeders. We are not able to adopt birds into homes that use Teflon product or smoke due to toxicity dangers.
