My personality

My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Aria and Amerigo! These two adorable pups are part of a trio of rescues we were able to save just in time, and now they’re ready for their forever homes. Aria and her brother Amerigo, both 14 months old and weighing between 60-70 pounds, are the sweetest companions you could ask for! Aria may be a little shy at first, but once she feels comfortable, her loving personality shines through. Amerigo, on the other hand, is more reserved and tends to follow his sister’s lead—he looks to Aria for confidence. Together, they make the perfect pair and would truly thrive in a home where they can stay together. In fact, adopting both would be easier than it might seem—these two are calm, easygoing, and well-matched for each other. If adopted separately, they’d do best in a home with another confident dog to help guide them. Aria tends to take the lead, while Amerigo listens closely and follows her cues. Their bond is strong, and they’ll bring twice the love and joy to whichever family opens their heart to them. Aria is a talker—she loves to engage with you, while Amerigo is content to sit quietly and listen. Both dogs are housebroken, crate-trained, and know basic commands like "sit." They’re also fully potty trained, making them easy to integrate into any home. Leash training will be needed, but these quick learners are ready to take on new challenges with patience and positive reinforcement. Aria and Amerigo are both looking for a gentle, loving handler who will continue their obedience training and help them grow into the best dogs they can be. They’re ready to share their affection and make your family complete—whether together or with a confident dog as their guide. If you’re interested in adopting Aria and Amerigo, please visit our website to complete the pre-adoption application: https://www.southernskiesrescue.org/adoption-application. Both pups have been fully medically vetted: spayed, received two sets of puppy vaccinations, heartworm tested negative, placed on prevention, and are microchipped.
