My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Jingle – Gentle & Watchful Lady

DOB: April 23, 2025
Breed: Dogo Argentino / Galgo Español Mix – Expected adult weight 45-50 pounds, athletic build, life expectancy 12–14 years
Health: Healthy, fully vaccinated, and spayed

Personality:

Jingle is a calm, loyal, and observant young lady. She combines the protective and courageous instincts of the Dogo Argentino with the elegance, speed, and intelligence of the Galgo Español. While independent at times, she forms strong bonds with her humans and enjoys being included in family activities. Jingle is athletic and intelligent, making her a wonderful companion for active families or individuals who enjoy outdoor adventures.

Breed Info:

The Dogo Argentino is known for its strength, courage, and protective instincts, while the Galgo Español is a graceful, agile, and intelligent sighthound bred for speed and hunting. This mix results in a dog that is athletic, alert, loyal, and highly trainable. Early socialization and consistent training are essential to ensure a well-rounded adult dog.

Owner’s Responsibilities:

  • Provide daily exercise: walks, runs, playtime, and mental challenges

  • Offer structured training with positive reinforcement to shape good behavior

  • Maintain regular veterinary care, vaccinations, and preventive treatments

  • Socialize with people, dogs, and new environments to promote confidence

  • Monitor diet and activity to support healthy growth and maintain an athletic frame

Things to Consider:

  • Finances: Larger dog with high activity needs—budget for food, vet care, and training

  • Time: Requires daily physical and mental stimulation

  • Allergies: Short coat but moderate shedding may affect sensitive individuals

  • Landlords: Large, active dog may require yard access or approval from landlord

  • Lifestyle: Best suited for experienced dog owners or active households capable of meeting her needs

Commitment for Life:

Jingle will be a devoted companion for 12–14 years. Adopting her is a lifelong commitment to training, exercise, socialization, and health care. She will rely on you for companionship, guidance, and stability throughout her life.

Why She’s a Great Addition:

Jingle blends loyalty, intelligence, and athleticism into a dynamic and loving companion. She is protective yet affectionate, independent yet deeply bonded to her family. Her combination of courage and gentleness makes her ideal for active individuals or families ready to provide exercise, engagement, and love. Jingle will enrich your home with joy, companionship, and the unique presence of a devoted, intelligent dog who thrives in an engaged household.

More about this rescue

We are dedicated to saving dogs from high kill shelters, strays, owner surrenders and hoarders. We have been saving animals since December 2016. We hold weekly adoption events at various pet stores and pet expos. We hire dog walkers to walk our dogs and we have volunteers who help us weekly. Many of our dogs go to boarding and training to become adoptable and work on their behavioral issues. All our dogs are assessed to find a great family match.

All dogs receive all necessary medical attention and all dogs are vetted.
