Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Swallowtail is one of those dogs who makes eye contact and you instantly feel picked. With her shiny black coat, soft eyes, and that little white splash on her chest, she has a quiet elegance paired with an easygoing, friendly nature.
She enjoys being outside, taking in the world, and trotting right up to you with a happy grin—clearly hoping you’ve come with good intentions (and maybe treats or a scratch behind the ears). Swallowtail has a calm but confident presence and seems to genuinely enjoy human company without being over-the-top.

More about this shelter
Pauls Valley Animal Welfare Society a 501c3 was formed to improve the problems of disease, overpopulation & abandonment of stray animals in Garvin County.
Our organization is made up of over 300 members who care about animals. It is an eclectic group varying in race, age, economic and professional levels and religious affiliations. We are, however, single-minded when confronting our community problems of animal cruelty and neglect, overpopulation and the humane treatment in which our strays and homeless dogs and cats are housed. Our goal is to relieve their suffering, do everything in our power to find them homes and provide a decent animal shelter for Garvin County.
