My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Hi, I’m Fish Sauce—zesty by name, elusive by nature. I’m a solo explorer, a blanket ninja, and a certified leg warmer (as long as you pretend I’m not there). I’m skittish, sure—but not standoffish. I want pets, I just prefer a slow-motion approach. Best method? Pet another cat first so I can see the coast is clear, then sneak in for a drive-by scritch before vanishing like a snack dropped behind the fridge. I’m playful, curious, and a master of the silent stare. You’ll catch me watching from the sidelines like a tiny feline lifeguard—judging the splash zone but never diving in.

I love attacking moving feet under covers, climbing into laps mid-nap, and investigating every new sound like a tiny, nervous detective. Loud noises? No thanks. Dogs? Hard pass. Other cats? Only my foster sister Herringbone gets VIP access for now. I may be shy, but I’m not antisocial—I’m just a cautious connoisseur of comfort. With patience (and maybe a treat bribe), I’ll be your undercover cuddlebug. Just don’t expect me to announce my arrival. I prefer to sneak in, settle down, and pretend I’ve been there all along.

Go meet their pets

We will be holding adoption event days with PetSmart on Ft Jackson Blvd and Two Notch Rd as well as PetSense on Garners Ferry Rd. These are partnerships that we've initiated and that have been greeted with open arms by these great organizations. MUCH More to Come!

More about this rescue

At Cat Around Town Project, we believe that by spaying and neutering as many stray and colony cats as possible, we are proactively controlling overpopulation at its source. All kittens and any cats that are adoptable are removed from the colonies and adopted to suitable homes. One day, when the supply meets the demand, there will be a home waiting for every kitten in our community. .
