If you see pets listed by a private owner, it means that they’re adoptable through Adopt a Pet’s Rehome program – the safe and reliable way to find a loving new home for your pet.
Dobby showed up a few times in the spring 2025 (we feed other feral cats) and was not looking too well, so we brought him inside. We got him neutered/chipped/vaxed as a feral at the shelter (that's why he has a clipped ear). He's not feral; he was someone's pet at some time. He is not afraid of our big dogs and ignores the other cats, except for a stray that came a few months before him. That cat, another male we named Lupin (he's also on Rehome.com) seemed to already know him. They play together around the house when I let them out of their cages.
He is very passive, chill, will always want to sit on your lap if you sit down. He plays with Lupin, who is assertive and outgoing, but Dobby really just wants to be around people. We've only had him since April, but he has adjusted well. He does not counter surf even if there is food out, but he loves to eat! I'd prefer him be a 100% indoor cat. I don't think he would be able to defend himself outside. He is the sweetest cat.
