My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Shoyu is a 3-year-old black medium-haired beauty with a personality as vibrant as his glossy coat. This fun-loving boy has plenty of energy and adores playing fetch, chasing his favorite wire toy, and watching “cat TV” (aka bird videos or the real thing through a window). He loves being near his humans—whether it’s hanging out in the same room or popping in to see what you’re up to.

When the day winds down, Shoyu’s sweet side shines. He’ll happily cuddle with you all night and is always at the door to greet you when you come home, ready for pets and scratches.

Shoyu does have mild, manageable cat asthma. He takes daily medication (or can be managed with as-needed medication for flare-ups) and even tolerates his inhaler well—he knows a treat is coming after!

Due to changes in his living situation, Shoyu needs a new home where he can be the only pet. He would thrive in a quiet, loving household, and would be extra happy if you work from home so he can be your furry co-worker.

If you’re looking for a playful yet affectionate companion who will keep you entertained by day and snuggle you by night, Shoyu is ready to meet you.  Rehoming fee is $50 and Shoyu is indoor only.  He lives with his owner in Beaverton.

This cat is offered for adoption due to the owner's personal circumstances. For more information on meeting and adopting this kitty, please fill out a pre-adoption application under "ADOPT" on our website at WWW.CATSCRADLERESCUE.COM. More about this rescue

Cat's Cradle Rescue keeps cats out of shelters by offering an alternative to a cage - we are a no-kill FOSTER-HOME BASED rescue group that welcomes cats to our home environments as they await adoption.

Why Foster Care? Does your new kitty like children? Does she play with dogs or find other felines too uncomfortable to be around? Does he have consistent litter-box manners? Does he want to cuddle or perhaps his comfort zone is to be more independent. Many life-factors influence cat behavior and while genetics plays a role, we know that human touch, kindness, nurturing and consistency of care are non-negotiable requirements. We provide all of this.
