Meet Commander Puff – the charming brainiac with just the right amount of sass.

Puff is that rare mix of street-smart and heart-meltingly sweet. He’s playful, wickedly intelligent, and has a whole lot of personality packed into one handsome, independent boy. He’s not here to follow the rules—he makes them.

Puff has big “crew leader” energy and likes to act like he’s the boss (even if it’s mostly just a show). He thrives on routine, demands respect, and expects his snacks on schedule. This food-loving king needs a timed feeder and a.m./p.m. wet food to keep his royal appetite in check—because left to his own devices? The kibble won't last.

When he's not patrolling his territory, you’ll find him lounging on a high perch, sunbathing in a window, or observing his kingdom like the regal boy he is.

Puff does well with other cats eventually, but he's no fan of fast friendships. He needs a few weeks to vibe with a calm, non-reactive kitty who won’t challenge his top-cat illusions. Slow intros are a must—this boy’s not into drama unless he’s the one stirring it.

Animal Rescue of the Rockies believes that every pet should find a wonderful, caring home. To ensure each pet finds the best possible home, we ask that you fill out an adoption application form so we can learn more about you and your household. We review each application we receive and will contact you as quickly as possible. A home visit will be scheduled before any pet is adopted to a new home. Once a home visit has taken place and the adoption application has been approved, we will ask you to read and sign our adoption agreement form. Our adoption fees help cover the cost of spay/neuter, veterinary exams, vaccinations, microchipping, and foster care. Highly requested breeds help cover the vet costs incurred by some of our other cats, enabling us to save more lives!

• $250 for purebred/highly requested kittens, 6 months or younger, such as Siamese mixes, Maine Coon mixes.  These 'guardian kittens' help support our rescue work by covering vet costs for other kittens.
• $150 for purebred/highly requested cats older than 6 months such as Siamese mixes, Maine Coone mixes.  These 'guardian cats' help support our rescue work by covering vet costs for other kittens.
• $150 for kittens (6 months & under)   
• $75 for cats (older than 6 months)   
• $35 for senior cats (8 years or older)

Our adoption process is:

1. Fill out our Adoption Application online.  We'll contact you within 48 hours to answer any questions you may have about the pet.

2. If the pet looks like a great match, we'll schedule a meet and greet and ask you to fill out our online Adoption Agreement if you'd like to proceed with adopting.  Once you've completed the Adoption Agreement and pay the pet's Adoption Fee, you can arrange to pick up your new furry family member!
