My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Ew, David—Adopt Me Instead!

Looking for an adventurous librarian type with just a dash of chaos? Allow us to introduce Alexis. Like her namesake, she’s beautiful, smart, a little bit dramatic Alexis is the kind of pup who makes you earn her affection—and trust us, it’s so worth it.

This clever girl is a social butterfly with other dogs and absolutely adores romping, roughhousing, and tossing toys around to entice her foster siblings into play. She reads the room (and her furry friends) like a pro, adjusting her play style with grace and a touch of mischief.

Alexis is equal parts quiet observer and curious adventurer. She would love a home with another playful pup to help show her the ropes, and humans who appreciate her sensitive side and celebrate her wins as she continues to blossom. She may start off shy and observant, but once you’re one of her people, she’s incredibly sweet, snuggly, and full of spark!

If you’re into hiking, laughing at stolen remotes, and sharing your couch with a sweet and soulful little diva, Alexis might just be your perfect match. A little bit shy, a whole lot fabulous—she’s ready for her next chapter. Preferably one that ends in true love and unlimited treats.

Love that journey for her.

Alexis is looking for a home with a fenced yard where she can play safely and she’d especially love a home with another resident dog to help guide her and keep up with her energy!

Alexis is estimated to have been born June 7th and weighs 25lbs. She is a mixed breed dog and we expect her to be on the larger side when fully grown.

Alexis’s adoption fee is $550. She is spayed, up to date on vaccines, and microchipped. Per our rescue policy, unless specifically noted in a dog's bio, we will not consider adoption applications from families with children under 5 years old.

We take care to make sure every pup finds their pawfect forever homes! Our policy is to match our puppies’ personalities to our prospective adopters’ lifestyle and preferences in a four-legged fur companion. We reserve the right to select a pup we feel will be best suited for you, which may not be the pup you originally applied for.

Forgotten Dogs Rescue requires all puppies under a year of age to be enrolled in puppy classes. Ask us about our recommendations and requirements for positive reinforcement training options!

More about this rescue

Forgotten Dogs Rescue is a volunteer and foster home based rescue organization focused on saving Pit Bull type dogs. Located in Washington State, we are a 501c3 non-profit and have been saving animals since 2011. We are dedicated to rescuing homeless and abandoned dogs who are in Washington's shelters, surrendered by their owners due to difficult circumstances or are in danger of abuse or neglect.

We save the dogs that need help the most, the dogs whose time has run out, the dogs who have lost all hope — the forgotten dogs.
