My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Twyla: Certified Cutie with a PhD in Wiggles and Charm

Twyla is a soft-hearted sweetheart with perfect eyebrows and a personality as cozy and warm as a cup of tea on a rainy day. She might be the quieter one in the pack, but don’t mistake that for boring—this girl has jokes, a little sass, and just enough mischief to keep things interesting!

She begins each day with a happy little wiggle and a talkative whine, circling your feet as if to say, “Good morning, I love you, please pet me immediately.” Twyla doesn’t ask for much—just some affection, a soft place to nap, and maybe a water bottle to chew on. Her favorite hobbies include sunbathing, play sessions with her sister and foster siblings, and standing dramatically on the car’s center console to offer supportive kisses and commentary.

Twyla is still figuring out the world outside her foster home, and she appreciates being given space to come to you first. But once she does, she’s all in—loving, loyal, and happy to follow you from room to room like a little potato-shaped shadow.

This silly and enchanting girl is looking for someone who sees the magic in her mellow, curious spirit and is ready to help her keep blooming into the confident pup we know she is. If you’re searching for a soft soul with a silly streak, Twyla just might be your perfect match.

Twyla is looking for a home with a fenced yard where she can play safely and she’d especially love a home with another resident dog to help guide her and keep up with her energy!

Twyla is estimated to have been born June 7th and weighs roughly 25 lbs. She is a mixed breed dog and we expect her to be on the larger side when fully grown.

Twyla’s adoption fee is $550. She is spayed, up to date on vaccines, and microchipped. Per our rescue policy, unless specifically noted in a dog's bio, we will not consider adoption applications from families with children under 5 years old.

We take care to make sure every pup finds their pawfect forever homes! Our policy is to match our puppies’ personalities to our prospective adopters’ lifestyle and preferences in a four-legged fur companion. We reserve the right to select a pup we feel will be best suited for you, which may not be the pup you originally applied for.

Forgotten Dogs Rescue requires all puppies under a year of age to be enrolled in puppy classes. Ask us about our recommendations and requirements for positive reinforcement training options!

More about this rescue

Forgotten Dogs Rescue is a volunteer and foster home based rescue organization focused on saving Pit Bull type dogs. Located in Washington State, we are a 501c3 non-profit and have been saving animals since 2011. We are dedicated to rescuing homeless and abandoned dogs who are in Washington's shelters, surrendered by their owners due to difficult circumstances or are in danger of abuse or neglect.

We save the dogs that need help the most, the dogs whose time has run out, the dogs who have lost all hope — the forgotten dogs.
