Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Meet Jetson — a happy, playful young dog who’s ready to blast off into his forever home! At 1 year and 8 months old and 52 pounds, Jetson is full of life and joy. He’s energetic, affectionate, and always up for an adventure.
Jetson starts his day with enthusiasm and can be a little wiggly when getting leashed up, but once he’s out, he settles into a nice walking rhythm with only mild to moderate pulling. He’s a quick learner who goes potty outside right away and quickly figures out how to hop into the car after one assisted try. He rides well and enjoys being close to his person, so it’s best to keep him safely restrained.
This friendly boy is affectionate to his core — he loves giving kisses, leaning in for pets, and jumping up for attention. He’s toy obsessed and loves to fetch, sometimes getting a bit mouthy with toys in his excitement but easily redirecting to a “sit.” Jetson takes treats gently and is both treat and toy motivated, which makes him a great candidate for continued training.
With his energy level, Jetson thrives in an active home that can provide daily exercise, playtime, and mental stimulation. He does best with adults or older kids who can handle his youthful enthusiasm. He does well for baths and enjoys meeting new people, greeting everyone with a loose, wiggly body and broad tail wags. While he may bark at other dogs in excitement, he shows no aggression and would benefit from a formal dog meet to gauge compatibility.
Jetson is the perfect mix of fun, affection, and spirit — a lovable, energetic companion who’s ready to bring joy, laughter, and adventure to his new home.
As always, we strongly recommend that resident dogs meet any new potential canine family members. If bringing a resident dog for a dog to dog test, please bring proof of Rabies, DHPP, and Bordetella vaccines.
To meet your new pet, come to Guilford County Animal Services between 12 and 4 any day except Tuesday!
