My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Sushi! 🐾

Sushi is a bold, goofy, and incredibly playful boy who lives for attention—and for playtime! He’s extremely energetic and thrives on multiple play sessions a day. If he doesn’t get enough, you’ll definitely hear about it—he’s a talker! Wand toys and motorized toys are his absolute favorites, especially when he can chase them from the top of a cat tree (he’s a climber, for sure).

He’s also cuddly on his terms and enjoys being picked up, though he’ll politely nip if pet too long in one spot. It’s never aggressive—just his way of saying “let’s switch it up!” Sushi loves affection and even comes when called.

He’s fully litter trained and very clever—he knows how to open cabinets and will try to hack his automatic feeder. Sushi hasn’t met other animals or kids in rescue, but he’d likely do just fine with respectful introductions.

Whether he's scaling impossible heights or making you laugh with his antics (ask about the cat tree blooper), Sushi is pure entertainment and affection wrapped in a bright orange coat.

Ready to add a little chaos and a lot of love to your life? Sushi's your guy.

📣 Suuuuuushi!

I am fixed, microchipped, FIV/FeLv negative, and up to date on vaccinations for my age.

More about this rescue

Twin Cities Pet Rescue (TCPR) is a small, 501c3 nonprofit, companion animal rescue organization. TCPR does not have a facility and is 100% foster-based. TCPR rescues dogs, cats and small animals of all breeds; rescuing them from city impounds, puppy mills, and other situations of abuse and neglect. Once rescued, all animals receive veterinary care ranging from spay/neuter, vaccines, microchips, and basic testing to specialty eye surgeries, pet dermatology care, and various other specialty treatments. Once an animal is rescued by TCPR, it remains in a foster home until adopted, no matter how long that might take.
TCPR often rescues animals that are considered “less adoptable” by other rescue organizations, as they are often the ones overlooked and truly left behind; and in need of the most help. These animals might be overlooked due to their age, health status, special needs or breed. TCPR works to help as many animals in need find their furever families as we can, especially helping those animals that need help most.
