What is Rehome?

Bernie was a street cat that we would often see picking fights with neighborhood dogs.
He tested FIV positive and needs to be the only cat in the household so as not to transfer the disease. Humans and dogs cannot catch this. This is an immune disorder. He needs to be kept inside so that he doesn't get sick or injured and be the only pet. FIV cats can live long and healthy lives.
Bernie is still a street cat at heart and is very aggressive toward other cats and animals.
Though he is so loving and playful and can be picked up and held like a baby, he does have petting aggression mostly from being over stimulated. A treat will distract him. It might take a couple days for him to trust you but soon he becomes this big love muffin. He lives in our garage for now but needs a home where he is the star with an experienced cat owner. He comes with food, litter box and litter, cat tree, blankies, and toys. He really is the sweetest boy with a big personality. I wish we could keep him.
