My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Thank you for your interest in adopting!

Jasmine Lives in Montevallo, Foster Home. We would be happy to speak with you and set up a meet and greet.

Jasmine was found stray as a young puppy in Birmingham AL.. We pulled her from the overcrowded shelter believing that we could find her home quickly. That did not happen. Advertising a puppy as a shepherd mix that had a brindle pattern on her at the time, didn’t fit the breed description. Advertising a husky mix with no husky coloring, that hasn’t helped. Jasmine has been in Rescue for nine months. She was estimated to be 12 weeks old when we pulled her from the shelter and she celebrated her first birthday recently.

Jasmine was adopted when she was four months old, but she was returned three days later because she was fearful and didn’t want to come out of her crate. When she was returned, we sent her to a Behaviorist, for a week and it was determined that Jasmine would do much better if she went into a home with another playful dog. The other dog in the home would help her feel more secure and confident in a new situation.

Jasmine has been great with dogs. She has never met or lived with Cats. We don’t believe she’d ever be harm a cat, but she may never be comfortable around one. Jasmine can play with her ball for hours by herself. She loves water and enjoys having a kiddy pool available. You won’t have trouble getting her to go out in the rain! She shares antlers and nylabones with other foster dogs.

She has not been exposed to young children. If there are any kids in the home, we prefer they be older kids or out of the house.

Jasmine is spayed, current on vaccines, heartworm, negative, rabies, microchip, and she’s been receiving flea, tick, heartworm prevention. Fence yard required because that’s all she’s ever known.

Birmingham and surrounding areas adoption fee $200 and absolutely worth the investment. Vet reference required. If you send us back your application and include your Vet, please give them a call and ask them to release information on your account.

Serious Adopters should fill out the easy application online and we will be in touch with you.

More about this rescue

We are an all-volunteer foster home based animal rescue organization in central Alabama. We trap and rescue strays, abandoned and unwanted litters, and we have a TNR program which results in rescuing social cats occasionally. We also pull from rural shelters when we have a foster home in place. We save lives and help to lower the over-population by spaying/neutering animals in our care and we offer assistance every month to low income families who need help fixing their pets.
