Dog Name: Minnie Mouse
Breed: Mixed Breed
Sex: Female
Age: 11 months (estimated)
Weight: 24
Medical Needs: Spay appointment scheduled September 2nd in Newark at Humaine Animal Partners. Keeping this appointment is a requirement for adoption. Must live within one hour of Newark.
Housebroken: Yes. Once comfortable in her environment, on a schedule, and knows where to go.
Crate trained: Does require coercion but is comfortable in her crate. Can be a little vocal at times, settles quickly.
Good in the car: Yes. She’s a little nervous at first but settles in.
Good on a leash: Yes. She is especially better with a dog that is good on walks.
Energy level: High. She enjoys her walks but needs to be taught how to play.
Need a fenced in yard: No. Only if walking or running with her a lot but her foster family has one and she enjoys getting her zoomies out.
Dog Friendly: Yes
If yes, does your foster need another dog in its adoptive homes? No, but it may be best as she needs to be taught how to be a good dog.
Cat Friendly? Yes. She is curious but doesn’t chase them.
Kid Friendly: Yes
If yes, what's the youngest child you'd recommend they be placed with? Over 8. She’s still got a lot of puppy in her and needs to be taught manners. Recommend kids who have the ability to correct her.
Special traits that make your foster special or that we need to know about them?
Minnie likes to steal other dogs toys from their mouth and then chew it right in front of them - that’s the extent of how she plays. She’s just a puppy who has had a rough start and needs a family who is willing to teach her from the ground up. This includes staying off the table if it’s accessible. She’s has the potential to be an amazing pet.
Fosters Location: Pike Creek, DE
