Reggie is a beautiful boy and was found in terrible condition and he is just now getting back to his normal self and look.
He’s weighing at 70 pounds and he isn’t back to his projected weight yet, he still has lots to go.
Reggie is very playful and well mannered and obedient. He is leash trained and potty trained. Currently unpredictable when it comes to dogs. He loves people and personal affection. Hes a big foodie and doesn’t care what it is that you’re giving to him.
Hes very sensitive and talks to people with his big bug eyes. Hes super sweet and loving and would be a very great companion.

We like to do a little interview and home check; either in person or over video chat

We like to do a little meet and greet to make sure everything works out between the family and pet.

Once we approve the application then you can sign the adoption contract

We love to know all about our new adopters! We are delighted to know more about how your adoption works out for you and your new baby. Keeping up with us is optional but greatly encouraged and appreciated.

We currently are a foster based only without a kennel. We do by-appointments only or you can stop by one of our adoption events which we have posted on our social media beforehand.

More about this rescue

We are a mom and daughter team who started the Texas Rescue Project. We poured all of our energy into our passion; saving abandoned and mistreated animals in Texas. We are dedicated to helping those who need us.
We started out as independent rescuers who spent their paychecks and free time picking up strays off the streets. We realized quickly how bad the situation in Texas was. Not many people willing to help and those who could (like us) didn’t have much to help.
We chose to start our journey making a rescue where we could help on a much bigger scale. We’re always looking for fosters and volunteers to help us out. We can always use the support and resources from our communities.
